Lexmark x2480 printer problem?
-
i have refilled the cartridge from the above printer twice but now get the message "unsupported cartridge" when i try the refilled cartridge.Does anyone know if and how it can be re-set?
-
Answer:
Yes it can be reset by replacing the chip (if it is a program cartridge) or using a chip resetter if it is a normal chip. Lexmark is notoriously difficult to refill by a lay person. http://www.tangerineofficesystems.com http://www.d-ros.com http://officeworldadvice.blogspot.com/

hi what this means is the printer things thinks the cartridge is still empty because a new one has a chip on it that tells the printer it is a new one and full with you just refilling it the chip is telling the printer its empty so you are getting this message ok

If it's like most other inkjets you have to go into the settings and reset the ink counter.
