Will refilling my ink cartridge damage my printer?

Refilling Printer Ink Cartridge Doesn't Work?

  • I recently bought a refill kit off ebay for my Canon Pixma ip4200 series printer. I refilled the cartridges no problem when they said they were low. However, one of them has reached empty even though I refilled it... now the printer will NOT let me print out ANYTHING until this cartridge has been replaced. What is going on with this? I refilled it! There's ink in it! Is my printer one of the ones that has a memory as too which cartridge was in it? How do I get around this? I tried unplugging it. Please Help! Printers are such a scam.

Click start, go to control panel, click on printers. Make sure that your printer is added to your computer. You will have to reset your printer, to zero's, and it should ask you, if you just replaced a cartridge, say yes, and it should reset itself, to full..

hi its is very much possible that the ink refilled might no print . there are two categories of ink refilling one is pigmiented form ( which is the most effective) and the second on ( i dont remember this name)but most probably u ink might be refilled using the second type.one should not use refilled cartridge more than once
