What is a good printer to use with my mac laptop?

Do i have to use a Mac printer with a Mac laptop, or can I use any printer, like a Dell?

You can use any printer if you have the printer drivers for the mac

It should work I have a Mac G5 and print from a hp printer, so as long as you use a usb port. Other people said you have to have Mac software but I didn't even load anything on mine to get it to work. My Mac just recognized there was a printer conected and asked me to pick the one I have and now it works.

you can use a lot of printer wiht your mac, is not necesary that you used a mac printer, you have only install this printer

You can use any printer as long as it supports APPLE TALK in its software. Apple Talk is in the Mac language for the printer because it is different from PC language. Most of the newer printers on the market support Mac printing now.

Most any printer with USB will work. When in doubt, go to the printer company's website and make sure they have recently updated drivers for the MAC OS. That said, Canon, Epson, and HP have long been known to be "Mac-friendly". But, again, check their driver updates before purchase.
