Printer problems with HP printer.

HP Deskjet 9300 printer driver problems in vista?

  • I had spent the whole of 2004 saving up for an A3 printer for my university work. Now in my last year i have just upgraded to vista and there are no drivers for this printer for windows vista. the alternative 1220c printer drivers have also been removed from the HP website. Can anyone help me to get vista drivers for my HP 9300 or any other suitable drivers. Or if anyone has their printer working i would happily welcome the driver being sent to me? Thank you, hope you all can help

    Go to control panel, add printer, choose a printer similar to yours for a generic drive. This works fine on my HP printer. The software will be available in July.

Bend it like Bender

Theres a website called driverguide.com. People write new drivers for new operating systems or share their old ones. They would be your best chance if HP isnt going to write one.If it isnt there now keep checking back. If you buy a new printer make sure theres a vista driver before you buy it. Ive had alot of trouble finding stuff that will work.

revert back to xp there are no drive for it to work on vista

There aren't any upgraded drivers yet - HP are dragging their heels as usual - Vista does have a built in software utility (can't remember what it is coz I've moved loads of stuff off the drive) that tries to force older non compliant software to work - You'll have to find it on yours using start menu and checking all the Microsoft bits - That's the only thing I can suggest at this time - other than chasing up HP all the time via email. They ain't the brightest stars in the night sky to be honest
