My Printer is Printing the same page! As soon as I turn the Printer on it start printing the same page. Help?

  • My printer is printing a homework page I was working on. My printer had a little toy in it. Thats why it didn't print anything, but i didn't know that. so I kept clicking the Printing Button a million times. when we got the toy out It started printing the page a million times and now it won't stop. i don't know how to fix it! please help me! I need to get this printer fixed! Help anyone?

  • Answer:

Relax - this is an easy fix. Go to Start - Printers and faxes and click to open. Highlight your printer icon by clicking just once. Look on the left hand side for the words: "See what's printing". Click 'printer' on the toolbar and choose 'cancel all documents'. That should put you back in business. I thought only boys were into "toys"? :)

your printer is almost definitely queued to print either several copies of the same thing. check your task bar at the bottom of the screen, there SHOULD be an icon that is shaped like a printer. right click over that and read your options, you should get a mini window listing your printer's tasks. simply highlight the task and delete it.

you will have a small printer icon on your right bottom corner. left click on it and cancel your print.

Unplug your printer. (If possible without messing something up un-plug it from the computer connection also) Then open your printer folder... and highlight each job there and then delete. Turn off the computer, plug everything back and reboot. I hope it helps. It has been a while since mine did that same thing and to the best of my remembrance that was what I did and it worked. You may have to do one test run (your printer may want to do it when it is first plugged back in) GOOD LUCK. I hope someone who does this more answers this and gives you a more detailed way of doing this.

Unplug it for a while and then go back to it
