What is wrong with my computer/printer?
-
Something happened to either my printer or computer. I cannot print anything from my computer. I did everything I can, from unplugging and plugging the printer in my computer, to turning the printer on and off, to restarting my computer. I still have the same problem. When I went to Start>>Control Panel>>Printers & Faxes, I see that there is no evidence of my printer being installed on my computer. It most definitely was installed because I've had it for the past year and I printed something out just last night. Perhaps the most puzzling thing is when I click "Add a Printer" it says "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running." What does this mean? What can I do?! By the way, I tried the troubleshooting steps and they weren't much help

Answer:
Right click on "My Computer" Select "Manage" Under "Services and Applications, select "Services" On the right, scroll down to "Print Spooler" If it's started, right click on it and select "Stop". If not, continue to the next step. Right click on it and select "Start"

Uninstall the printer then reinstall it again. then got to PRINTER AND FAXES and right click your printer and choose default printer. This should solve the problem. And as another answer said that powersupply could be the problem, I should clarify that the powersupply of the PC has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the Printer since they have their own power cords.

You may have a virus in your computer that is preventing it from recognizing your printer. Try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't work, try unplugging everything from the CPU and then plugging everything back in. If any software came with your printer, try running that program.

After making sure all of your cables are firmly seated in their respective plugs, try de-installing your printer and software, and then use the install disk for a fresh install. It may be that some process corrupted your printer drivers, which is usually the culprit in these cases. Best wishes~
