Why is my printer giving this message?

Why is my kodak easyshare 5300 printer giving me the message, "Printhead missing not installed correctly...."?

i just bought the kodak easyshare 5300 printer, and im terribly disappointed, that this has happened, i've tried re-installing the printhead and cartridges but it still wont work. ANSWER QUICK, I'M DEBATING RETURNING IT.

Return it. I have been having problems with mine - print text only - black ink. I followed the instructions on their website (3 times), clean, deep clean and calibrate. I decided to do a search on Google "cannot print black ink with Kodak 5300". There was a bunch of feedback from people who had the same issue. Apparently its an issue with the printhead, some people have had 3 printheads sent to them by Kodak within a couple of months. You can try the search and see for yourself.
