Why won't my HP Deskjet D4160 printer turn on?

  • I have checked all of the ports and cords and everythng seems fine but when I go into my printers folder it says that it's offline. But it won't turn on when I press the button.

    The problem might be because of your power supply. I had one that burnt out for some reason. Even though you plug into 110volts it reduces the voltage through a transformer, then to your printer. This is not an uncommon thing to happen due to that the transformer is on all the time. All printers are throw aways, they dont makethings like they used to. If you have another power supply from another one it may work. Used computer shops may have power supplies so take printer with you and they may be able to fix you up with one. good luck

did u unplug the cord and plug it back in or try reloading your printer cd sometimes files can become corrupted
