How can I print index cards?

How do you set your printer to print index cards?

  • i set the paper size to 3x5 on word and it prints, but the card comes out empty, with nothing on it. i checked print preview and it looks fine, but for some reason, everytime i print, nothing comes out but an empty card.

  • Answer:

Go to Start Settings printers and faxes Right click your printer icon Click properties Click printing preferences In the (size is) window The middle one, scroll to index cards. There are 3 sizes listed 3 X 5, 4 X 6 and 5 X 8. Select the size you want and click apply. Now your printer is set up to the index card size you selected.

Other answers

The way I do it is I print on a normal sheet of paper then I put the index card over the text using a double sided tape (I use double sided because it's easier to undo. Then I print the same text again on the sheet of paper and it prints directly on the Index Card however if you think that is to difficult you can get the Avery Index Cards they are a little more expensive but a lot easier to use you can visit avery.com and order them directly or you can get them from Office Max, Office Depot, or Staples.
