Lexmark printer problems?

i cannot print from my lexmark x2480 ive done all the troubleshooting etc even spoke to someone on the lexmark help live chat which was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. The error message says cannot communicate with the pc unplug etc so i have unplugged and restarted about 15 times and its still the same do i need a driver or something i cant find the driver for this printer. its a lexmark x2480 PLEASE HELP! THANKYOU

USB problems then you'll have to do this... 1. Uninstall the drivers for this printer and software 2. Unplug the Printer from the USB connector to PC 3. Turn off the Printer 4. Click on Start 5. Click on Control Panel 6. Click on System 7. Click on Hardware 8. Click on Device Manager 9. Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controller 0. Expand the tree for the USB A) Now for each one you have listed right click on one B) Click on Uninstall C) Repeat A-B for each one you have listed D) Reboot the PC When you get back into Vista or XP the system will re-install USB drivers for you. Now install the drivers for the printer and software again. Do not connect the USB from the Printer to the PC just yet. Wait for the softwar to tell you to do so.. Note: Use the CD that came with the printer or go and use one of those links posted by the others here to get your newer drivers. If none of these steps work for you then go out and buy a new printer.

lexmark printers are very large.you have a pc ,you have a house,you have clothes,and you have a family.you have food,,,,,,you have yahoo things.,and you have friends!!!!!!!!!! buy a MEDIUM PRINTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trade the laxmark one in,ITS NOT WORTH IT XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

If you are using Vista you need the updated driver from the lexmark download site (see above answer)

This is just a thought. Is this your first printer? If you've recently changed your printer your old one may still be part of your computer components and because your old one is no longer there, your computer may be confused. this happened to me.Delete the old one out of your system.
