Can I change the setting so the Internet does not time out?

Change Shrink to fit setting permanantly for internet printing..?

  • Everytime I print something off the Internet, I have to go throught print preview and change the setting from shrink to fit to 100% so the font is not really small. How do I permanantly change it to 100% so I don't have to change it on Print Preview Evertime. 10 pts to the one that works

  • Answer:

I'll go you one better: Do you want to make the change permanent for ALL prints from ALL applications or just from Internet Explorer, for example? If you want to make the setting for 100% permanent across all of your applications, skip step #1 and just make the adjustments in step #2 to your actual printer... 1) Create a "copy" of your existing printer: Install a "new" printer using the setup wizard. If installing 'locally', use the same port as the physical printer. Use the same driver. The new printer should be labeled as a copy. 2) Change the Properties of this printer, making sure the Device Settings are the same. If you need to, exit and re-enter the Properties window after making changes to the Device Settings, so your changes are kept. Now enter the Printing Preferences section from the first tab and make certain that all references to "scaling" or auto-reduction/enlargement are properly set so your printer doesn't scale automatically. Now, whenever you want to print unscaled, choose the copied printer. You can rename the printer whatever you want to remove the "copy" moniker. Voila!
