How do I hook up Lexmark printer and scanner to a Dell computer?

I tried to hook up the printer to the computer and it said that it couldn't find the software on the computer to connect. Please help!
Answer:

A model number would have been helpful but if the printer and scanner (an all in one?) came with a CD, you need to install the drivers from the CD first. I assume you have already connected it since you said it couldn't find the drivers. If you don't have the driver CD you can probably fine them from the Lexmark Download section, http://support.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/selections.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&&req=::::: but you need to install the drivers before you can use it. If you have a manual follow the installation procedure to the letter.
