Why can't I print PDF files?

HP printer software not working, i cant print pdf files?

I have downloaded and installed the hp printer software on my computer but whenever i go to print a .pdf file it says i need to install a printer first. Please help, i need this for an assignment due monday:S

You have to make sure you have the correct printer drivers. The drivers for each individual model or printer are different. If you go onto the HP website and look under the support section you are able to download and search for the drivers for the model of your printer. After installing the drivers. Make sure your printer is plugged in. If you still have trouble, goto (on windows xp) Start > Control Panel > System > Click the Hardware tab > Click device manager Now you are in the device manager hopefully you should see your printer listed possibly with a yellow icon next to it, this means it's currently not working. Although it may just an unknown device. Double click the printer and select search for drivers.
