Answer:
Basically you need to buy a network ready printer and connect it to a network, over the network the ADMIN of router can change the settings if printing sharing is on/off.

If your's and his computers are networked together there is a very simple way. Connect the printer to YOUR computer and share it to his. That way, you can turn off sharing until he needs to print something and then turn it back on for him to print.

only if he has a wi fi printer you can intercept it with a remote control that coes with it

you cant.

Remove the printer from his room to a common location and change the setting to share printer.

You can probally get some wi-fi for you compter/ and printer. And if you put a password he won't be able to print or use the internet for that matter without the password. but that is only if their is another computer or printer he is using=netwrok.

I'm not sure that you CAN'T do something like that, but then again, I never heard of it. I believe you can set up a printer password, though. If you don't want your son to use it, then don't tell him the password. It would be easier if you went to a computer agent in town and let him show you how then try to do it with someone telling you. BTW, I would also suggest you try to trust your son. It's pretty bad when you have to keep a password from him to keep from printing someting. Geeeez. . . what is this world coming to?

If you're worried about your son wasting ink and paper, keep the paper put away, and have him ask you before using it. It's that simple.

That is not possible, however, I would reccomend, Getting a Laser, or Inkjet Printer, Or Possibly using your sons printer, Puting it on a print server, and placing the printer next to your computer, That way When your son prints, its sent to the print server and then printed Right there next to you. However you couldnt prevent something from printing before hand, But that way you could see EVERYTHING he printed.

Why not just take the printer out of his room? Or you could leave the printer set up but take the computer connection cable so he'll need to come see you to get the cable.
