Which printer is the best one to buy in the Uk?
-
I am thinking of either a brother or a canon. The cost of the ink is more of a consideration rather than the cost of the printer. Any advice on the cheapest way to get the ink for it aswell would be good.

I am on my second Epson in ten years, the other was still great but wasn't compatible with this new PC. It is a scanner and a photocopier too. It was £60 at a computer fair, they hold them often in most towns. www.inkworld.co.uk are a great company for ink cartridges etc and stock for all sorts of printers. it cost me about £11 for four black cartridges last time. I order on their website and they arrive a couple of days after. the same stuff in the shops is about £18 for one cartridge.

Either Epson, or Canon. I 'defined' my current printer like this. First, do a search for 'Continuous Ink Supply System' , then that will give you a list of printers that can be adapted (but mod is not permanent, can be reverted). Pick your printer, pick your system. Cost of ink....embarrasing CHEAP. Epson carts hold 13ml ink, cost about £6 I buy my ink 600ml a go, thats about 45 carts... for £20. WORKS OUT AT FORTY PENCE A CARTRIDGE. Heres a couple of examples... System I use.. http://www.inkexpress.co.uk/index.php?p=ecom&dowhat=fullinfo&prodid=450 Lots more.... http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fcl=3&fnu=1&from=R10&fccl=1&satitle=continuous+ink&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&a25563=-24&a14=-24&a47=-24&a15962=-24&a65036=-24&alist=a25563%2Ca14%2Ca41%2Ca47%2Ca15962%2Ca3801%2Ca45814%2Ca65036&pfmode=1&reqtype=1&gcs=1901&pfid=2941&pf_query=continuous+ink&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D3&sadis=200&fpos=al10+9qe&sascs=2&ga10244=10425&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=
