Blue tint in monitor.

Help! My monitor has a blue tint, how do I fix this?

  • My monitor randomly has a blue tint to it, like looking through Blue Filter Paper...I have no idea whats going on... My monitor is around 4 years old or so. Its a monitor provided with the HP Pavilion computer. When I open up the Menu for my monitor the colour on that is fine...I have no idea whats going on. I've heard something about 'pins' but what are they? And if you have a solution please explain, would be a great help.

  • Answer:

Scrap it and get an LCD

the little metal pins in the connector you plug into the back of the computer and into the monitor. one of them may be bent, or the cable is broken. the cables are a bit pricey ask someone you know if you can borrow theirs or borrow one from work if you can. if the display is still blue tinted it could be the plug in the monitor, it could be the graphics card or the monitor is just bad. is it a CRT or LCD monitor?

Try reconnecting the monitor cable to both ends. If that doesnt work, buy a new cable for your monitor. The pins are basically the part of the cable at the end where you see what looks like pins. If that still doesnt work, new monitor im afraid

VGA cable is loose, so either tighten it or if your computer supports it, go with DVI instead.
