My desktop computer monitor wont turn on.?

i have gateway desktop computer new one that had windows vista but i reinstalled to windows 7. it worked fine for couple month and then one morning i turned the computer and the monitor didnt turn on. i tried like 100 time to turn it i even clean it inside but still my monitor is off. everything was connected to my computer and i even checked the cables, i tried to connect to other monitor and it still wont work. please help

Answer:
Sounds like it could only either be A) a bad cable or B) you graphics has gone out. More than likely the latter. Try another compatible video card and you should be back in business. Of course if it's a new computer, it should be under warranty. Just don't tell them you reinstalled the operating system.
