Why does my monitor unexpectedly shut off?

Why does my Monitor turn black(not shut off) after I launch any game?

Alright, so I have this hannspree HF237 that goes completely blank whenever i launch a game. But im beginning to think its a GPU problem because this monitor will work when i launch the same games on another computer. Another twist however is that im using a 20" acer right now that launches the games fine as well. Could my GPU not handle the extra 3 inches of monitor? or could it be a PSU issue? Specs: AMD phenom x4 965 BE oc'd to 3.8GHz crossfired ATI 5870s (i dont usually use crossfire mode however.) 8 GB of ram 500GB hard drive 850w corsair PSU Another weird thing is that I can play WoW fine, just any other game. and when i use the hannspree the resolution is 1900x1080, while the other monitor is 1600x900. Once again the hannspree only goes blank when i launch games, internet browsing and photoshop and what not works fine.

Maybe try different resolution. Check that have latest drivers.
