Good Eyefinity monitors?

Radeon eyefinity use with multiple monitors of different aspect ratios?

  • I want to set up a 3 monitor system using an ATI eyefinity card. My current monitor is 1600x1200 max monitor. These are not readily available. So to continue to use my 4:3 monitor I would probably have to add two 16:9 monitors for the sides. These would probably be 1920 by 1080 monitors. Question is can I mix monitor aspect ratios to produce one large wide screen and if so at what resolution should I run each of the monitors? It would kind of make sense to run the outer two at 1920X1080 and the centre 4:3 monitor at 1440 x1080 or ??? Any body have any thoughts on how to do this?

  • Answer:

You can always buy two 1920x1200 monitors.. Resolutionwise, they would be the same height as your 1600x1200 monitor. Just keep in mind that the third monitor MUST have a DisplayPort jack if you want to run a 3-monitor Eyefinity array. Something like the Dell 2408WFP (it's 1920x1200, with DisplayPort).
