There are no LED monitors, they are LED -backlit- LCD monitors as opposed to CCFL backlit LCD monitors. LED backlit monitors will need less room for the backlighting and less power and therefore can be thinner, but given the majority of implementations is with edge-lit white leds they tend to have worse uniformity and colour gamut than CCFL backlit monitors though if you manage to find a RGB localised backlighting monitor, firstly tell me and secondly just consdier how vastly superior it will be compared to a comparable panel with a CCFL backlight (whether thats as much of a difference as TN -> VA or IPS is another matter though, but for that kind of stuff you'd be talking into the thousands for a monitor.) if you want any more information about LCD monitors then go to www.tftcentral.co.uk pretty much THE site for this stuff.

lcd (liquid Crystal display) and led(light emitting doid) led is better it makes many more sharp and bright colors and it uses much less power than lcd and led doesent get as hot
