My screen resolution always blurry. Why?

Why is my PC screen resolution inconsistent - I'm going cross eyed - Help me!?

• I just purchased the Toshiba Qosmio X500/02M which features a 18.4 inch widescreen, windows i7 64 bit Nvidia GeForce GTS 360M and the screen resolution is killing me! It is either crystal clear or smudged. For example on the desktop 2 icons are blurry and the rest crystal clear, when surfing the net the resolution on webpages is also inconsistent. Then there is the text which is too tiny! So I am either seeing smudgy or tiny and my eyes are Killing me. The resolution settings are all set to the recommended configurations so I cannot see why this is happening. I have a 15inch satellite and the resolution is perfect. What is the issue, I would love to get some advice before I return it, or go blind.

  increase the icon and text size in the screen properties, check the true color depth in the computer specs it should be 24 or 32 bit genuine if the true resolution is 18 bit you will never get a sharp picture
