Monitor Button Broken. Is there a setting in my computer, where I do not need to press the monitor button.?
-
I have Windows XP. Monitor and computer are DELL. The monitor button is broken, but I get a paper clip and got it on. The paper clip is a short term solution. Is there a setting in my computer, where I do not need to press the monitor button and where once I turn my computer on, I can move the move or press a button on the keyboard and the monitor will turn on?

Answer:
It depends on the model of your monitor, the connection cable type it's using, and the model of video card it's connected to. One alternative solution - keep the monitor switched on. If it's a reasonably modern one, it won't draw that much power in sleep mode.
