  • Answer:

maybe you have a bug in you motherboard, but dont panic, take it to a technician preferably Best Buy's Geek Squad. and ask them if they can help... (call before you walk in with your computer, Geek Squad can make a trip to your home if you choose)

if it's a crt monitor (the huge ones that arnt thin) then it's finnished. the syptoms you have described, the small picture, means it's had it's day, and time to chuck it! as the projection unit has finnished and burnt out. you'll have to get a new monitor.

there is no self help here. Immediately call a computer technician and get the faulty part identified and repaired/replaced. It could be the monitor or the hard disk

It's the monitor, tell it bye, bye, and go down to the nearest 2nd hand store, or DAV, or Salvation Army store, and pick one up cheap!

My gut feeling is that your monitor is through. The clicking might be the power supply. The best way to know for sure is to try another monitor on your computer, but if you're poor like I am, another monitor is hard to come by. Try another plug and see if that works or another outlet. Try everything you can except for opening the monitor. I sure hope you get it to work. Since I do not know the age of the monitor I cannot suggest whether you should attempt to have it repaired, but it will cost you. Being without a computer can be a drag and I truly hope it is something minor. I encourage you to repost in a few days if nothing changes and include the brand of your monitor, how long you have owned it, and anything else you think might be relavent. Good luck!
