Which is better LCD or LED monitors?

Does anybody make a stand for LED monitors (not LCD)?

  • I have three LG 24" LED monitors (LG W2486L). Right now I have the center monitor sitting on a makeshift shelf and the other two are sitting on books. You can see my setup here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z01mpZVitAg LED monitors are really thin and don't have any mounting holes like regular monitors do. I've been looking for a long time and can't find anything. Thanks

  • Answer:

LED monitors ARE LCD monitors. The difference between an LED and a normal LCD is that LED uses LED's for the backlight of the LCD panel. Now that I look at it and all the other people having similar issues, it seems like LG doesn't think that standard VESA mounting holes were necessary for this monitor. So you are pretty much stuck with the current setup. Other LED-backlit monitors do have the holes, it just so happens that LG models do not.

I like LEDs. I have an LED myself. Its a Samsung 24'' (SyncMaster BX2440) and I really like it. It displays very nice colors and saves energy.
