How do I make my items on the screen smaller?

How do you make items on a 1024x600 screen go smaller?

• I'm using a ACER Aspire One netbook, and my screen is very small. Is there a type of program that makes everything on the screen small? I went to the control panel and all I found was a "Make the text and items small or large" option. I clicked on it and it's already on it's smallest size! Is there a LIST of programs that can handle a 1024x600 screen? thanks.

  With what are you having trouble? Most programs handle 1024 great. I can't think of one that does not handle that resolution. Now, are you sure it is not 1024 x 768? If you are on internet explorer you can change the % on the lower right corner of the browser window. I am not sure about your Aspire, but most netbooks have a screen configuration in such a way that the software renders in a larger screen but only part of it is shown in yours, you then scroll trough it. Check it out in your screen configuration.
