How do I get rid of Internet Speed Monitor?

Trying to get internet access on pc from laptop...also getting a blank monitor.?

• I just moved in with a rommate, and am trying to get internet access. I am not computer savvy at all! I put the monitor and tower in place and plugged it in to electricity. I'm not sure why I'm only getting a blank monitor screen, first of all. Am I forgetting to do something? The power is on to the monitor and tower, and hooked up to each other. The keyboard and mouse are hooked up. The monitor screen only shows the green and red 'is working' flash on and off, otherwise black. The guy at Best Buy sold me the Lynksys Wireless G USB adapter, but when I insert the cd software I still see nothing on the monitor. I called the Lynksys hotline, and the guy in India or some other planet told me to just plug the adapter in, though the instructions say do not do this until instructed to do so. He said because I have XP it's ok. Still nothing on the screen. I don't think he understood what I was saying. I hope you guys do! I hope it's something really stupid I forgot to hook up...

  I think you forgot to plug the display wire of desktop behind CPU. It is usually of blue color. Or try to replug the wire and if it has screw then make them tight. Otherwise check the cabinet power inside CPU....
