Can i use a mac mini with a regular monitor and still have apps?

i have a monitor, but i need a new computer and i was wondering if i could use a mac mini and still get apps like garageband and stuff.

Yes you can buy an adapter or use the HDMI port. And the monitor has NOTHING to do with the computer. Go to your local mac store and inquire about buying one.

The current Mac Mini has an HDMI port and a miniDisplayPort. You can connect the Mac Mini to any monitor or TV that has an HDMI jack. If your monitor has DVI, you can use the enclosed DVI-to-HDMI adapter to connect the Mac Mini's HDMI jack to a DVI monitor. If your monitor only has VGA, then you will need to buy a separate miniDisplayPort-to-VGA adapter. Monitors are monitors.. They don't care what applications you run on them. :-) Hope this helps.
