Can I use DVI to RCA cable to connect my PC to my TV?

HDMI to DVI cable won't connect my HD TV to my PC, what do i need?

  • I bought an hdmi to dvi cable to connect my hdtv to my pc but my pc won't take the lead, so do i need an adapter (dvi to vga?). Is there anything else i should know? Some websites are talking about video cards too. I thought it was just plug in and go... My sister wants to do the same but her laptop is very basic. What specifications and cables do i need pls?!

  • Answer:

Your question is not clear. If you want to display the output of your PC to HD TV then your graphics card should be capable of displaying 1920 x 1080p. If your HD TV is to display any other display you should choose such a display from the menu of your HD TV.
