Will HDCP port on LCD work with my laptop's HDMI port?
-
I haven't seen it in person, but an LCD monitor I was looking at online has an HDCP port. My laptop has an HDMI port. I want to use this LCD monitor as a larger screen for browsing, watching movies, etc, but also to play my xbox 360. Will it work ok?

Answer:
HDCP is meant for copy protected data. Some devices will not accept HDCP. Yes, you can connect your HDMI output to a HDCP socket. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-bandwidth_Digital_Content_Protection
