Extending my desktop to my tv cuts off part of the screen on tv, how do i fix?
-
When I connect my laptop from its HDMI port to my 46" HDTVs Hdmi port I can extend my desktop display, but when I play a game or a movie part of it is cut off on the tv. How do I fix this problem without lowering my TVs resolution? My laptop has an HD graphics card and its display is 720p, and my tv is 1080p. When I set the screen resolutions it says 1920 x 1080 is recommended but part of whatever I have fullscreened is cut off... Just as an example, if I were to playminecraft on my tv the little utility bar and health display are cut off.

Answer:
Don't lower your screen resolution but i am sure you have a setting which makes the image on TV go WIDE, ZOOM, 16:9 or something. Try the Different Ratio, or the HDMI settings in your TV. Try it out, just trying to help
