Green line on my computer screen?

Strange line on computer screen?

  • Occasionally my work computer gets this one pink line that vertically splits the screen. Its a really thin line, but my work computer is new, so I don't understand what the problem is. Can anyone give me any ideas?

If it's one line that goes down the whole screen it is either a bad display or bad video. If it is your work computer, do you have an IT department that you could ask to check it out? If you can try connecting another monitor to it to test, that will usually tell you what's going on. If the other display works fine with no line (may be hard to know though - since you said it's occasionally) then it is your display that is bad. But if the other monitor does it too, it could be a video card or in some cases, a motherboard issue.
