How do I know if my PC supports HD quality picture?

I have an Advent laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic, if that helps?

not all computers support HD quality as it will depend on your graphics adapter go to thew website of your pc maker and check the specs of your pc to see if your graphics are hd compatible
