Why won't my computer's monitor turn on?
-
The actual computer will turn on, but the monitor light remained yellow. When I would try to turn it on, the screen would say "Going to sleep" and simply go back to yellow. But now the bulb has burned out and there's no light whatsoever, nor will the monitor turn on. My keyboard also does not seem to work. Everything is plugged in properly. The monitor is not new. Help, please?

Answer:
Try using a different monitor to check to see if your video card has gone bad. If the other monitor works, try connecting the old monitor to another pc and check to see if that works. If it doesn't, then the monitor itself could have gone bad. After years of use, monitors can suffer the same fate as any electronic device.
