Lcd Screen into tv input?

How can I adjust screen position/size on an LCD TV used as a monitor?

  • I have a 42" Toshiba LCD TV that I am using as a monitor. I am running it through the component input on the TV. The picture comes up a bit too big for the size of the screen, half the menu bar is showing at the bottom, half the icons on the side, ect. I have played around with eveything on my TV to no avail, and I cannot find a solution on the PC, playing with the resolution doesn't work.

  • Answer:

You would have to run your video program and not windows display properties. It would help to know what video card you have. Example ATI card= ATI Control Center.

Well, changing the resolution could work (enen though you said it failed) but, you should make sure that the LCD TV is selected as the monitor you are trying to change. Also, check your videocard, make sure that it can handle what you are trying to make it do. It might work, it might not.
