HDMI pc to big screen LCD delay in picture....?

  • OK, today i bought a new 55" benQ LCD screen. i tried out my ps3 and xbox360 in HDMI and it was amazing. so i though "hay why not try the PC too ehh???" so i plug up my PC via HDMI to the screen and i noticed that there was a delay in the movement, i move the mouse and about 1 second later the pointer moves and its the same with the keyboard. its really annoying... i don't know whats the problem... and the display of the desktop is not so clear either. though i raised the resolution to the highest. so whats the problem? A friend of mine was saying "the screen is too freaken big!!!!!" but i don't know.. you be the judge. Oh and by the way my computer's video card is an GeForse 9800GT THANKS MAC

  • Answer:

Kind of a common issue, usually called input lag or something similar. Generally it's caused by some sort of signal processing on the TV itself (a lower resolution on the PC might help) or putting the TV in gaming mode. Here's a good article that explains the issue and gives some possible solutions: http://www.pcworld.com/article/183928/find_and_fix_input_lag_in_your_hdtv_or_monitor.html
