Is it bad to move LCD screen when the computer is on?

Why does my computer screen take so long to open... it blinks but it does not open for at least 10 mins...?

  • I have a Mag LCD monitor and it never did this.. I dont know if it is from my computer or the monitor but it takes at least 10-15 mins or the computer to open... I do have some dll errors but i dont know if those are the cause... MY tower turns on but the monitor light blinks for 10 mins and then the computer just turns on with some dll errrors. Please help because if it is the tower.. I dont want to spend money getting a new lcd monitor... Monitor works fine once it is one.. it also happens when the computer goes into sleep mode.. again when i move the mouse it takes 15 mins for the computer screen to turn on so i can do my work..Please help!

Well the easy way to test it is to hook your monitor to another computer and see what happens. I think the problem is with the tower and not the monitor though. DLLs are files that run hardware. If your missing DLLs thats not a good thing. Update the drivers for your system. You can usually find drivers for download on the computer manufactures website. Make sure you install any new driver updates that they have.

DLL problems...you have too many programs running when windows start up, they are all the icons in the taskbar bottom right...set them not to run when windows start...enter 'msconfig' in the run commands and click the Startup tab and uncheck all the programs not to run at start up

1- Clean up the disk. Uninstall unneeded programs (especially those that run at startup and/or put something in the system tray), run Disk Cleanup, and defragment the drive. This is a good first step that will almost always take a few seconds off boot time and application loads for any computer. 2- Stop auto-starting programs. Click Start > Run and type "msconfig" at the prompt. Click the Startup tab and look at all that junk that loads when you launch your PC. Do you really need "Adobe Reader Speed Launch"? Probably not. Turn off anything else that looks useless, but be careful not to disable your anti-virus and important system components. 3_ Run a full anti-virus and anti-spyware scan. I would recommend using AVG Free Anti-virus, Spybot - Search and Destroy spyware remover and Ad-aware spyware remover. These programs are all free. 4-Clean up the registry. CCleaner, available at http://www.ccleaner.com is free and worth running. It will also remove unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. You can always take your tower to a frieds house to see if it still loads up so slow and then you'll know if it is the tower or monitor giveing you this problem. Good luk
