Recording XBOX 360 from PC monitor.

New Monitor - 22" or 24" - Use for Xbox 360 and PC?

  • I am going to purchase a new monitor for my pc but cant decide whether i should splash out up to the 24" size resoultion. I initially wanted a 22" as i thought the 24" would be a bit obsessive, however, the 1680 x 1050 resolution is putting me off as it just drops below the 1080p mark. When I go off to university i would use the monitor for running my xbox 360 probably via VGA. What resolutions does the Xbox in VGA mode support. Does it go as high as the 1900 x 1200 of a 24" monitor as well as the 1680 x 1050 of a 22"? I have found a single VGA 24" monitor for around £200 which is an Acer and quite weakly reviewed. On the other hand i could get a nice samsung 22" which has lovely inputs and contrast ratios etc. for around the same price. As far as gaming goes... my pc wouldnt be able to run the games at the 24"s resolution anyway.. so this is not a big deal for me in terms of pc gaming. Any thoughts would be great
