My screen is blurry, does it need to be updated?

I HAVE A BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH! PLEASE HELP!!!!?

  • I have the HP Pavillion dv9000. I got this blue screen error msg after I updated my laptop with the automatic updates from HP. This is what the blue screen says on my laptop: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode. I also looked it up online, and I can't find anything helpful. HELP ME PLEASEEEE!!!

Most computer nowadays come with a restoration CD : if you got that, just put it in you CD player, reboot and follow the instructions...

u need to wipe and reload... that cost money to back it up and reinstall windows so take it into bestbuy theyll fix u up

might this help? http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/whssoftware/thread/ab47b7a3-3d0d-40a1-bce8-1ca1a89baced What you have to be careful of reloads and windows reinstalls is that if its a hardware issue thats causing it you could get stuck halfway through the process and be in another sticky spot! really you need to ascertain if its software or hardware. if its software its easier to wipe and reload, or restore from a disk. if its hardware try to avoid it. From your description it does look like a software issue
