What Is The Proper Way To Minimize The Screen While Playing The Sims2 PC?

How do I play a game on one screen and use Chrome on the other?

  • Hey there, I have just recently got a second screen for my PC. As excited as I was to now have 2 screens, I was sadly disappointed shortly after I had opened up 'Fallout 3' (Awesome game by the way) I was playing for a bit when I wanted to go onto my emails on the other screen, but my mouse wouldn't go past the edge of the screen my game as displayed on. I tried flicking through the settings it had, but I couldn't find any that suited my needs. So I had to minimize my game to go onto my emails. Fair enough, that's me being lazy, but that could be said the same for bookmarks on your internet browser. All the bookmark does is saves you hassle of typing in the address bar and hitting the enter bar. So, is there any way that I could go onto my internet browser while playing a video game? I have searched online, but that didn't really seem to help. I know that a few games let me go onto the other screen, but there the games that don't go into full screen. I know that Minecraft works because its a window that you can move about, unlike a proper game that automatically maximises itself. Any help would be much appreciated! :3

Hayden, You only need to tweak the monitor profile in the Control Panel to accomplish this: go to Start->Control Panel, click Display, then in the Display Properties dialog, click the Settings tab. Choose Multiple Monitors from the dropdown list. In this dialog, you can also change the default monitor to which ever one you prefer as well. When you are finished with the changes, click Apply. You will then be given a chance to accept the changes or cancel (undo). When accepted or rejected, click the appropriate button, then click the OK button in the Display Properties dialog and you're done. Once you have both monitors set up, you can drag windows from one monitor to the other. Best of luck.
