My monitor doesn't show red?

Monitor problem, it doesnt show the picture?

  • When I turn on the computer my monitor(syncmaster 931c) does not show me what you usually see, it just the same black screen and the light is blinking as if the computer is still off. I can clearly hear that the OS has finished loading, because of the welcome sound and the sound when skype turns on. The strange thing that when I plug out the signal cable it does not show the missing signal sign. After some time I plug it out/in the signs appear that it shifts from digital/analog mods(what is normal), but there is still no picture, after some time I push the signal source button(on the monitor) the monitor starts working properly. If I leave for like half an hour it shifts to sleep mode, normally touching the mouse wakes him up. But now it becomes the same like during the turn on, but it takes less time to return to normal. The majority of the internet people say that the mother board or the video card is failing, but that is like 70% of you computer. The strange thing is that my monitor is not responding to most of my commands during this black screen problem. Please help me to deal with this problem. All my drivers are up to date. And I cant see any damaged hardware like burned or bloated parts.

Sound like your video card is no longer any good. If its a onboard video card then go buy a vga or pci video card that can be place on the motherboard. Once you have done that. Go in to the bios by hitting either F1, F2, or F10, F12. One of those should get you in your bios and then set up your video card that you just put in.

Check to see if your graphics card is out of the slot.

The majority of the internet people would be wrong. 1. Pull the video signal cable and the power cable essentially reboot the monitor. 2. Try the monitor on another computer to see if it is the monitor. 3. You may get a blank screen if you boot the system before you connect the DVI cable, or disconnect and then reconnect the DVI cable while the system is running as certain types of graphic cards do not send out video signals. Connect the DVI cable and then reboot the system. 4. Unlock the OSD by pressing the [MENU / ] button for at least 5 seconds. 5. LED is blinking but no images on the screen. Is the frequency properly adjusted when checking the Display Timing on the menu? Adjust the frequency properly by referring to the video card manual and the Preset Timing Modes. (The maximum frequency per resolution may differ from product to product.) Check the following items if there is trouble with the monitor. Check if the power cord and the video cables are properly connected to the computer. Check if the computer beeps more than 3 times when booting. (If it does, request an after-service for the main board of the computer.) If you installed a new video card or if you assembled the PC, check if the installed the adapter(video) driver and the monitor driver. Check if the scanning ratio of the video screen is set at 56 Hz ~ 75 Hz. (Do not exceed 75 Hz when using the maximum resolution.) If you have problems in installing the adapter (video) driver, boot the computer in Safe Mode, remove the Display Adapter at the "Control Panel → System → Device Administrator" and then reboot the computer to reinstall the adapter (video) driver.
