I bought a new LCD wide screen moniter. but after installing it, display is same(not wide). how to solve this?

Before changing resolution b sure to install monitor drivers. So windows displays the resolution supported by your monitor. Else u may select unsupported resolution.

change the Resolution. If you are using windows: 'Right-click' on the Desktop and select Display Properties... find and change the resolution to a widescreen resolution.

You need to change to a resolution that is wide. XP: right klick anywhere on the empty desktop, select properties. Go to Settings and slide the resolution slider to the right one point at a time. then click apply and see if that is ok for you. If not, try to up resolution some more. In the end klick ok.

The should be a setting in your graphic properties. Right click your desktop and click properties, then settings and then advanced and poke around (assuming you are on XP or 2000)

Change the display settings. Your monitor probably has a different resolution size. So change your settings till you find one that works for you. Good luck - to change settings, right click on desktop, click properties - Click settings Tab> change Screen Resolution. For more resolutions, click on advanced, click the Adapter Tab and click on "LIST ALL MODES" towards the bottom.
