Crossfire with two Eyefinity cards = support for double the amount of monitors?
-
My current setup supports 4 monitors (using 3), and i can really see myself using more of them, just for the geekiness and to compensate ;) Would a CF setup mean that the cards work together with double the power to play games, or does it simply give a small boost? Would this mean that if i had two of my current card it would support 8 displays? Overkill, yes. Probably 3x1 + 2 on wall (as picture frames or showing stuff i just need a quick look at) + a tv. I doubt I'll be able to afford all of those screens, but they don't have to match or even be very good.

Answer:
you are not going to get 'double' performance, same way you cant get double speed by putting two engines in your bike! And its not going to give you any performance if you CF a low end gpu with a higher one, it will even downclock your high end GPU.
