External monitor interference?
-
When I plug in my LCD Monitor to my laptop i get small amounts of constant interference (similar to the flickering you get when a cell phone rings next to a CRT monitor). However, when the same monitor is hooked up to my home PC, its flicker free. What is my laptop doing that could be causing this? Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 216BW Laptop: Acer Aspire 5610Z

Answer:
The VGA cable with their monitor was junk. Wasn't thick enough to shield the signal. Swapping the cable with a thicker one included in an older LCD monitor did the trick Change ur cable to thicker one

Either the cable is not properly grounded to the laptop or the refresh rate of the laptop is too low. Go into properties and see if you can change the refresh rate to 70 or 72.
