Why am I still getting static with an auxiliary cable?

After shutting down computer i m getting the message 'signal cable is disconnected' why?

  • when i am shutting down the computer i m getting the message on the display 'signal cable is disconnected' i want that when CPU turnoff monitor should also turnoff. suggest me that how to turnoff both CPU and monitor when i click on shutdown....

    After shutdown CPU the power supply is still continue to both CPU and Monitor. Monitor remains in stand-by mode. Some monitors show message and some not. You have to manually turn off the monitor's stand-by mode. It is not possible to stop power supply by shutting down the CPU.

That's because the monitor is on and then indicates that it is getting no video signal from the computer. It probably then goes into a sleep mode. FOr these types of monitors, you either just let them remain in sleep mode, or you have to manually push the power button on the monitor. The computer will have no impact or ability to control the power button on your monitor.

The only way to do that totally is to have a switching PSU. that is a Power supply Unit that has a socket for you monitor to plug into it so that when your computer shuts down so will your monitor or get a laptop.

I just had the same problem. This is a connection problem, Ideally it should go to sleep mode after turning of the cpu.Press the VGA cord tightly and pin up. For LCD monitor(which I have), just interchange the two end of vga cable and connect.
