Will this damage my lcd monitor?

Would tracing over LCD monitor screen damage my screen in anyway?

  • I traced a map directly from the screen of my LCD monitor..by placing a paper on top of the screen. I need to trace a few more, so I was wondering, if this could damage my screen in anyway?

    no! It will not damage your Lcd. If you lcd has a glass finishing (touch it and feel) then nothing will happen but if it has plastic finishing, then a few scratches may be formed if you trace roughly. Anyways, its quiet safe, you can trace your remaining stuff! Have a nice day!

If you use a pencil, rather than a ball point you'll be better off. Similarly, is your LCD screen plastic or glass fronted? If plastic, you're much more likely to do damage than if glass.

Touching an LCD should be avoided period unless to be lightly cleaned Why not just print it out??

not really, unless your stabbing the thing... lcd screens are actually quite durable so it should be ok...
