  • Answer:

Do you see the boot sequence at all? No images or text about the BIOS manufacturer or motherboard maker at all? Do you have all the PCIe power connectors connected to the video card? The 6850 requires 2 6-pin PCIe connectors. EDIT: Do you have onboard video disabled in the BIOS? EDIT: Do you hear any beeps when you turn the power on? If so, how many beeps? The video card may be defective and you might need to RMA it back... Have you tried plugging the cord into the onboard video...most motherboards should have it. See if you can and then that might reveal whether or not the video card is defective or not. EDIT: Yeah, I looked up the specs for a 6950 by accident...those require 2 PCIe power connectors. My mistake... Are you sure the monitor is working? Have you connected that monitor to a different computer? PS...make sure you completely power off the computer before connecting or disconnecting the video cables first.
