My monitor wont work at all?

okay well i was using my computer and then the monitor just turned off... i took apart the modem, rechecked all the plugs, and still it wuld not work.. when i say it wont work i mean ITS GETTING NO POWER AT ALL.. it wont turn on.. so i hooked up another monitor i had from my old computer and then even that one still would NOT even turn on.. so what should i do?? theres only 2 cords that coem out of the monitor .. 1 of them go to the back of the modem.. the other to a power source.. sense nether monitors are getting any power could t be the power source?? but the modem is pluged into the same source and it works.. what should i do?!?

i think its the power source because if you tryed another monitor most likely its not the monitor its where its getting its power from is there another outlet you can try to plug it into? hope that helps!
