Why is my screen pink and purple?

After i restore my computer..my computer screen turned pink?why?

after i restore my computer..my computer screen turned pink?why? i restored back 2 days and my computer came on.. but when i tried to loggin into my pc. my screen was pink. and i tried my guess account.. and un-did the restore.. and it worked. but i would like to know why this happen... it never did before.. i have compaq computer, and vista windows.why did this happen?after just restoring back.. and will it do that every time i restore? your attention in this matter greatly appreciated.. tyvm in advance..chatzy.

possibly a bad graphics card driver, if its gone now, theres no need to worry but i'd reccommend not restoring in the future.
