Changing resolution in safe mode?

Changed the screen resolution and now I can't see anything - Help!?

  • I'm using a different computer because of this. I changed the resolution on my computer, it used to be 1024x768 and that worked fine, but curiosity got me and I changed the resolution to the biggest it would let me to see what it would look like. Now when I start up my computer, my monitor shows a window (similar in format to the "no signal" window when I shut down my computer) that says "mode not supported". I've tried restarting in safe mode and changing resolution there, but when I restart normally it goes back to the bigger resolution. Help! I want my computer back!

  • Answer:

The easiest way I can think of would be to boot into Safe Mode and delete your display adapter from Device Manager. Then after you reboot and get the funky-looking VGA mode display, get on the Internet and download the proper driver for your adapter and install it... Deion "Mule" Christopher
