Screen Resolution Problem for Computer?
-
Hey Guys, First of all thanks everyone for their help. Before I describe my problem, my specs are: Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50 GHz Installed Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Operating System Graphic Card: Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset Adapter for Graphic Card: Chip Type is Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, DAC Type is Internal, Adapter String is intel(R) GMA X4500HD, Bios Information is Intel Video Bios, Total available Graphics Memory is 1326 MB, Dedicated Video Memory is 64MB, System Video Memory is 0MB, and Shared System Memory is 1262 MB. Computer: Averatec All-in-one PC (21" without border, 23" with border) Here's my problem: A while ago, as in 4 or 5 months ago, I installed a program for an Itouch app called Crazy Remote. Link: http://www.crazyremote.com/crazyremote/eng/features.html . I doubt that's the problem though since I think I have successfully uninstalled it. Ever since then, whenever I try to load up a game my screen goes black then gray then dashed white and grey in a repeating pattern. I have done testing and games downloaded and installed with Steam work when I put -window -dxlevel 81 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 in launch options. Also I have been able to get some games working outside of Steam but I have to be able to change game resolutions without starting the game. A few more things I have tried are that when I clone with another monitor (I was using my TV), the game shows up on the TV screen fine but my computer screen still acts up. One more thing is that when changing computer resolution the computer screen works fine from 1680x1050 (max) to 1280x720. When I go below 1280x720, 1152x864 to 800x600 (min) my screen begins to act up again. I cannot exit out of games once they have gone crazy I can only shut down the computer and reboot. The last thing is that, which I've already indicated to in my dual-monitor test, is that everything continues to work behind the screen acting up, I was able to play godfather from my TV but that was impractical since I cannot face the monitor. The solution I would like is for that acting up to not happen at all anymore but i don't mind having to type in the target area when you right-click on shortcuts. I have already tried using +autoconfig, and -w and -h, without success. Thank You Everyone So Much, [email protected]

Hi, you can try these steps: - Head over to http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/graphics and press the check system for updates and follow the setup and stuff. You'll propably find an update to your driver for your graphics card, the old one may be messed up. Then restart your computer - Click the start menu and type fix aero. Click on the first and only result and run the wizard by clicking next, next, next. - Before the Windows 7 logo appears in boot, hold (or press) F8 to bring up a boot menu. Using the arrow keys and enter button, choose safe mode and check if the problem persists. If it doesn't it may be a software problem. - Type in the start menu msconfig and press enter. Click the start up tab and uncheck any programs you don't want but be sure they are not system programs oranti viruss. - If all else fails, you can reinstall Windows 7 by holding F11 before boot but be sure to make backups.
